This piece was made up from the "Heartwarming Doily" pattern in the premier
issue of the U.S. magazine "Crochet with Heart". If you would like the pattern for this doily, you will need to buy a back-issue copy of the magazine. The instructions are not available via the Internet or email, nor do I have a copy of it anymore.
I used approx. 450yards of Twilleys Southern Comfort thread in a variegated white/cream/beige colourway. The pattern is made up of pineapples and hearts, with almost 40 rounds to complete it. It is pictured on my black dining room table, so you can see how large it turned out. |
Blocking and starching the doily would probably open up the pattern more, but I haven't got round to that yet! When this photo was taken, the wedding plans were taking priority.
This pattern is made up of pineapples and shells, and ends up as an
unusual diamond shape. I used Twilleys Southern Comfort thread in a variegated
purple/lilac/white colourway.
The pattern can be obtained from the Crochet Partners Doily Pattern Index. |
I used Twilleys Southern Comfort thread in a variegated cerise/pink/white
colourway. I think a plain colour would probably show up the design a lot
better.
The pattern can be obtained from the Crochet Partners Doily Pattern Index. There are corrections available for this pattern. |
