I used Jeweltones in Prism... Gauge....16 st x 24 r = 4 inches with keyplate dot 3..... Sizes:XL, XXL & XXXL Measurements: XL- Chest 50”. Back Length 27”, Sleeve Length 23” XXL- Chest 54 ", Back Length 29 ", Sleeve Length 26 " XXXL- Chest 59 ", Back Length 31.5 ", Sleeve Length 28.5 " Back : CO 100,110,130 sts with WY...K 6 R...Break off WY...K 86, 94, 110 R with MY....Put markers at each end of the row to mark arm holes....Use a bit of WY for this....K 60 more rows....End COR ...break of MY leaving a 2 foot length..... Back Neck and Shoulders: Place center 32, 36, 42 sts onto WY...Push needles back to NWP....Push all LHS needles ( 34, 37,44 ) up to HP....Make sure the knitting is pushed back....Place remaining needles ( 34, 37,44 ) onto WY but do not remove work for machine yet....Push LHS needles into FWP and place onto WY.... MAKE SURE LATCHES ARE OPEN...Remove work from machine....Do Not Remove Hem... Ribbing: You could do this by hand but since I don't know how I do mine on the machine...If you want a tighter rib use one size smaller keyplate... Start with COL...Bring forward 95, 105, 120 needles to HP....With wrong side of knitting facing you rehang the first row of MY onto these needles...Let hem hang down behind....Remove every third stitch from needle....put needle back to NWP....K 16 R ending COL....Latch up ribs...BO using Back Stitch BO....Remove hem and WY...Set Finished Back aside.... Front: Work as for Back up to arm hole markers.....K another 40 rows ending COR...Put center 12, 16, 24 sts onto WY...Push needles to NWP....Push Needles on LHS to HP...Using only RHS dec 1 st at neck edge every R 4 X .......Then dec every other R 6 X ending with 34, 37, 44 sts remaining...Knit another 4 rows straight...Break off MY Place sts onto WY....Push needles to HP...Push LHS needles to FWP and repeat as for RHS...Work Ribbing as for Back...Set aside.... Shoulder Seam: Bring Forward 34, 37, 44 needles to HP....With the Right side of the front facing you hang the shoulder stitches from the last row of MY on the LHS onto the needles...Only do one shoulder....Use claw weights to weight your knitting....Push front back against the bed behind the open latches....With the wrong side of the back facing you hang the corresponding shoulder stitches ...Bring the stitches behind the latches ( the front Stitches) forward and over the stitches in the hooks of the needles...It is best to do this by hand....K 1 R with MY....I leave a really long tail on the back and use that...BO loosely in chain stitch BO...Before repeating for other shoulder do neck ribbing... Neck ribbing: With wrong side facing you rehang every stitch around the neck edge onto needles...Including those on WY and those around the front sides....You must pick up every stitch possible or you will have holes......Starting COL K 1 R....Place every third stitch onto a length of WY and remove from needle...Place needle into NWP...K 16 R in MY....Latch Up Ribs......CO onto WY....Repeat shoulder seam procedure for remaining shoulder...Be careful not to pick up neck band or ribbing stitches when rehanging shoulder seams.... Sleeves: Starting COR...Bring forward 86 needles to HP....With the wrong side of the work facing you place stitches between arm hole markers onto needles...Be sure to evenly space extra stitches....Hang the hem and knit the sleeve...dec 1 stitch on each side every 6, 6, 7 rows 20 times...you will end with 46 stitches remaining after you have knit 128, 146 162 R ending COR ...CO onto WY K 6 R...Repeat for other sleeve... Cuffs: Bring Forward 41 needles...Rehang last row of MY onto needles...Do Not remove WY...Remove every third stitch from needle ....Place needle in NWP...Rehang hem or use claw weights....K 10 R Ending COL....Latch up ribs....BO using Back stitch....remove weights and WY...Sew side seam of neck ribbing and then sew down last stitch of MY to body of sweater...remove WY...Sew side seams and sleeve seams.... I am going to do my next one in Ragg yarn with the twisted cable ribbing posted by Stacy.... If you have a tall and Cuddly Man to do this for you may want to add some rows above the arm hole markers to widen the sleeves.....
