I find a J hook is just the right size to make the loops for the spacing between the needles on the ISM. Go into the back with a latch tool or crochet hook, tool of the day, and starting with the longer floats crochet or ladder up to the top and then catch and stitch them down. A lot of the pros knit this way when they are using finer yarns, just try and make sure you do not overdo it when you are crocheting them up for example putting them to close together....you will know and to be safe put the last stitch on a safety pin, turn it over, stretch it a bit and see what you haveif you are happy, secure the ends.
