Subject: [BOND] Summer Tank Pattern

Hi all,
since I couldn't get a pattern for a summer tank top I made up one that
I like.
I will post to the list so that all who asked for one can try it.This
was my first try at making up my own pattern and hope that you will like
it.

Yarn Peaches & Cream
Keyplate #3
Gauge 16 st x 24 rows over 4" (machine washed & dried )
Women's Bust size 36" (finished size 38" )

FRONT

1. Cast on 80 sts in WY and knit 6 rows. Change to MY and knit
           60 rows even.
2. Shape the armholes by casting off 4 sts at the beginning of
            the next 2 rows
3. Divide sts in half 36 to each side and push left side to HP
4. Working on right side only dec. one st at armhole and neck
edges every row until 12 sts. remain.(72 rows)
5. Knit even for 31 rows (103 rows total ) and cast off to waste
           yarn.
6. Work left side same as right.

RIBBING

10 rows 1x1 ribbing ( for a tighter fit waist rehang only 75 sts )

BACK

1. Cast on 80 sts and knit 6 rows. Change to MY and knit 60 rows
            even.
2. Shape armhole by dec. 4 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.
3. Dec. 1 st every row (armholes) 10 times for 52 sts.(72 rows)
4. Divide sts to 26 each side and push left side to HP.
5. Decrease sts on armhole and neck edge every row until 12 sts.
            remain (81 rows)
6. Knit 22 rows and cast off to WY

RIBBING

10 rows 1x1

FINISHING

Join shoulder and side seams to finish. This is a waist length top but
you could easily add rows before the armholes to lengthen it and you
could rib or crochet the arm and neck edges . I used an eyelet st on the
straight edges of the shoulder straps so it would lay flatter.I made one
for sil and the front was cut to low on mine ( she's much shorter) so I
used 2 backs and it turned out real cute too.( Just some suggestions )

Simple Short-capped Sleeve Top

Materials:- 5-6-7 x 50 gram balls of cotton yarn keyplate # 3 weight

Tension: - 16 stitches and 23 rows + 4 inches
Using Keyplate # 3

Sizes 32-34, 36-38, 40-42

Front and Back alike:-
This has sleeve caps already included in the pattern, it is similar
to the Mother Goose pattern but not the same to the best of my
knowledge as I have never done the Mother Goose pattern.

Cast on 68 - 76 - 84 stitches
work 6 - 8 rows waste yarn
change to main yarn
work even for 56 rows

Increase one sititch at each end ( carriage side ) until you have
88 - 96 -104 stitches, these are the sleeves.
Work 40 rows even.
Cast off loosely onto waste yarn or latch tool. Your preference.

Make another piece the same.

Join the shoulder seams on the ISM.

Pick up and knit a ribbing by hand or rehang and knit for 20 - 30 rows
using keyplate # 2 up every other needle. Cast off loosely.

Work a row of single crochet around sleeve caps and round neckline.

(The above pattern is by Linda Boudreau. From personal experience
I can tell you that you can change the neckline to any shape that you
like and that it works up in several yarns nicely. I still like this top
Linda---Thanks again. It's still giving me a LOT of pleasure.)

Subject: [BOND] Sleeveless Roll neck Sweater

OK I am back -this time w/my roll neck top-
although to tell you the truth my head hurts from all the math-LOL-
finished chest size-36", 42", 48", 54"
finished length- approximately-23 "
gauge= 20 st. x 30 rows= 4" using Key Plate #2

FRONT:
using crochet cast on-(again-thanks to Ann)
C.O. 90,(106, 120, 136) stitches-do three rows -remembering to keep
work behind previous row
or if you prefer you can start w/ 6 rows of ribbing
knit 101 rows straight-mark for arms
decrease 1 stitch each side every row 5 x's.
knit straight 37 rows-(row count 42)
remove center 12, (14, 16, 18) stitches to WY
put LHS into holding position
on RHS decrease on neck edge 1 stitch each row 5x's(6x's, 7x's, 8x's.)
then decrease 1 stitch every 2 rows 9x's.,( 9x's., 11x's., 13x's.)
this should leave you with 20,(26, 29, 33) stitches for shoulders
knit 3,(4, 5, 6) rows straight ending COR row count 68,(70, 76, 82)
leave a tail 6x's width of stitches for joining-cut and move carriage to
left
put RHS in holding position and LHS into working position-
work LHS same as RHS- just reverse shaping
remove shoulders to WY-(tail only needle on RHS)

BACK:
use same method of cast on as front
knit 101 rows straight- mark for arms
decrease 1 stitch each side every row 5x's.
knit straight for 66, ( 68, 74, 80) rows
put center 40, (44, 52, 60) stitches onto WY
put outer 20, (26, 29, 33) stitches onto WY-on RHS leave a tail 6x's width
of stitches for joining

SHOULDER:
pull out 20, ( 26, 29, 33) needles
hang piece w/out tail in back push behind latches
hang piece w/tail in front - in front of latches
pull front live stitches through back stitches
w/ tail on left- hand manipulate knit stitches across to LHS
Bind off using back stitch

ROLL NECK:
pull out aprox. 82, (95, 116, 128) stitches
rehang neck edge doubling up every 4th & 5th stitches in back and the rest
of the neck
hang hem- hand manipulate 1st row across-COL-
pick up every 3rd stitch on WY to set up for 2x1 ribbing
knit 6 rows- and latch up rehanging stitches
hand manipulate 1st row back across- switch to key plate #1 knit 8 rows
slowly
bind off using back stitch
the smaller key plate forces the yarn to hold curl- you can use key plate #
2 for this
but will have to tac down at bottom and top

REMAINING SHOULDER:
put piece in back w/out tail pushing back behind latches-pick up ribbing
(I'd say 4 st.)
put piece w/tail in front pick up ribbing-pull front live stitches back
through back live stitches
 OMITTING THE RIB STITCHES
using tail - hand manipulate knitting from right to left - this time go
through the rib stitches also
bind off using back stitch.
take off machine and sew up remaining neck edge on outside-it will curl down
so seam will not show

ARMS:
Pick up aprox. 98, ( 110, 120, 130)- that's about 4 of 5 stitches
do same as neck w/ ribbing - and then the 8 rows of straight knitting w/ key
plate #1
bind off using back stitch-
Join side seams using your method of choice- I like the invisible seam for
this-Thanks to Barb's instructions
Ok so there you have it again if any questions please don't hesitate to ask-
I hope you like it
Lorie.
